A few announcements

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

Here are a few updates regarding the BibleMemory program:

1. Due to popular request, we are going to start sending emails every day to active members. We have had numerous members forget to click their last email link, and as a result, have been left behind in the program. If you don’t check your email for a couple days, you’ll have an email for each day. You can click any of the emails, but only one will work, the others can be safely deleted.

Note: if you don’t want to be in the program any longer, don’t mark our emails “Spam.” That will keep other members from receiving emails if they have the same email provider as you. Please click “Unsubscribe” in the email. If you want to join again within your membership period, email me!

2. The custom program is now open to anyone, it’s out of it’s “members only” trial period and ready to go.

3. Sorry about a problem receiving email that some of you had that chose to try the custom program. It should be OK now.

4. Lastly, please don’t feel funny about emailing me if there are any problems with your membership, I’m happy to help and fixing problems makes this program better for everyone!

Thank you all!
Robert

New Functionality today: customize your memory program

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007

Good Morning everyone,

Well, I’m back from Florida, and we brought the nice weather with us, I’m happy to say.

I’m very pleased and excited to announce to our members that we’ve released the ability to customize your BibleMemory program by using verses that YOU choose to memorize. Please email me if you’d like to change from the basic program to the customizable one, and what your first track and verse should be (a track is a topic such as “Love”). I’ll change your program manually, and then you’ll have the ability to enter more verses. If you don’t want to change, and would like to continue in the basic program, that’s fine, too!

In a couple days, I’ll release this functionality to the general public, but I wanted to give our loyal members a crack at it first.

As with any change, there’s the possibility of “technical difficulties,” so I ask that you please be patient while I iron out the kinks. This was a major change and could possibly impact the basic program as well.

I’m really excited about this, if you can’t tell. Enjoy! If you have any questions about this, feel free to email me!

Update from not so ’sunny’ Florida

Monday, February 12th, 2007

Yes, I’m still in Florida. Not so ’sunny’ today, though. It’s raining, and much-needed, I’m told. That’s OK. It’s giving me an opportunity to do a little blogging. I’ve even had a chance to write in my other blog, “Today’s Music from a Biblical Perspective.”

Some highlights so far have been stomach flu in Jacksonville (I don’t blame that nice city), and a visit to Orlando, where my wife and I hung out at Universal Orlando and the world’s largest Hard Rock Cafe.

We’ll probably get to Disney World later in the week. Orlando is great- they’ve got tourism down to a science, including an expressway with a toll plaza every couple of miles! One thing they have at the airport, which is great, is a waiting area called a ‘cell lot’ where you can go and wait for a passenger until they call you on their cell phone. There’s no huge line of cars at the terminal waiting for who knows how long. You can park at the cell lot, wait for your passenger to call you and directly go to the terminal, pick them up, and get out of there. Sure beats the days of parking in a huge lot or driving around and around the different terminals, with the change of getting lost being high. I hope this catches on at many more U.S. airports. Maybe it has, I don’t go to too many airports.

Have a great day, and don’t forget to review your verses!

Greetings from sunny Florida

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Hello everyone. I’m writing to you from lovely Ft. Pierce, Florida. My family and I are taking a much-needed vacation. One of the benefits of homeschooling is being able to plan vacations whenever we want! So we thought we’d escape the winter drear of New Jersey and enjoy the sun of Florida in February (for 2 weeks)!

Not much to report regarding BibleMemory.us- we continue to get new members via Tim Challies blog. Welcome aboard!

When I get back, I hope to make many more improvements and additions to the program.

Greetings!

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

Greetings to those of you who heard about this site from www.challies.com and signed up to give us a try. I hope you like the program and if you have any questions, problems, or suggestions, please drop me an email.

And thanks to Tim for mentioning us!

Hang in there with me- in the next couple weeks, I’ll be rolling out a customizable program where you can choose your own memory verses. Be patient- this isn’t my full time gig, unfortunately!
