Shocking Counter

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

I was peeking at Worlds Apart today and noticed a shocking statistic on the far right:

“Since the start of the Iraq war, 5,588,389 American children have died from abortion.”

In your mind, does this statement attempt to minimize the loss of life in the war?  Or does it put that loss of life in perspective?  Or is it just a way to mark a moment in time that we all know?

Either way, it’s absolutely incredible to me.  May God have mercy on this wicked and perverse generation (and nation).

Hindu Clergyman makes history - opening a U.S. Senate session in prayer

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

Zed, the first Hindu to offer the Senate prayer, began: “We meditate on the transcendental glory of the Deity Supreme, who is inside the heart of the Earth, inside the life of the sky and inside the soul of the heaven. May He stimulate and illuminate our minds.” (from CBS News)

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ9To30Hz7A]

If you watch the video, you’ll see that some people attempted to interrupt the prayer.

These folks have been labeled “Christian Extremists” and “wackos” around the web. What do you think? Should they have interrupted this man’s prayer to the “Deity Supreme?”

Review

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Hello! I had a chance to do a little work on the site today. I added the ability for members that use the NKJV to review their verses. I know everyone else does currently, but NKJV folks did not.

I get those verses via eBible.com and have to handle them a little differently.

While we’re on the topic of review, have you reviewed your learned verses lately? Log into the member home page and click “Review all my learned verses.” Let’s keep those memorized verses fresh in our minds and hearts.
