Review!

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Hello everyone, sorry I haven’t updated you on the status of the program lately. We’ve had a wonderful, busy summer here.

I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone to review their verses. I got an email from a lady who reviews hers every day! If you have the time, that’s a great idea.

I also want to thank Elizabeth at http://pressed-flowers.blogspot.com/ for mentioning the BibleMemory.us program!

Global Warming as Religion

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

I was listening to the radio yesterday, and the host and a guest were talking about global warming.

Admittedly, the guest (nor I) know much about the subject, but what he was saying was interesting: that global warming has become much like a religion.  It has a pope (Al Gore), high priests (Leonardo DiCaprio and other Hollywood celebrities), and indulgences (carbon offsets).

Interesting concept.  Ann Coulter has written a little about this also.  I don’t appreciate her tone, but some thoughts are interesting.  What do you think?

What would you dads say to this guy who comes and asks for your daughter’s hand in marriage?

Or what if he came to you asking for a job?

What if he came to your church?
