The New Amazon Kindle
You may know that I’m really into gadgets, though my budget often requires me to admire them from a distance.
Anyway, Amazon has just released details about their new version of the Amazon Kindle, their cool book-reading gadget. You can download books, newspapers, blogs, etc. and read them pretty much from anywhere.
If you’ve been kicking around the idea of buying one, show BibleMemory.us some love and use this link:

Hey keep this link up here for awhile. I am interested in the Kindle and would love to buy it via your link. My main interest though is in being able to compile a library of public domain books into the Kindle. Books I wish I could own but can’t afford. Perhaps for reference. Some of these are stored on google books like Recensio Synaptica by S. T. Bloomfield. Or the classics found at http://www.puritanlibrary.com. Also would love to be able to purchase a greek and hebrew interlinear for the kindle, — what do you think? Sounds like a great tool for a missionary with a need for a library but little ability to amass one especially in remote parts of the world. There seems to be some caveat regarding converting PDF files to Kindle files. How about HTML? Any success stories on loading the Kindle with public domain pdf’s, html’s, or flip book formats.

Wow, these are awesome ideas! I never thought about the implications for the missionary in need of a library in a remote place! I love technology.
Aso for conversion of PDF files, HTML, etc., I have no idea. I don’t have a Kindle myself yet…
